Tuesday 8 August 2017 saw 39 Seniors along with 4 staff enjoy a wonderful day trip to Crab Claw Island for lunch. A convoy of 2 mini buses and a vehicle, we set off at 10.00am for a 1 hour drive from Wagait Beach. The Seniors were all so excited as this is a first for some, and it turned out to be a lovely experience for everyone.
On Tuesday 18 August 2015, a group of 17 seniors (16 roses and one thorn!!) enjoyed a day trip to Adelaide River on Tuesday August 18th. Neil had the ‘Wagait Wagon’ filled to the brim and Robyn drove a car load. We left Wagait Beach just after 9.30 am and visited the war cemetery before enjoying a lovely lunch at the Adelaide River Inn and returning home just on 4.30; after a pit stop at Berry Springs Tavern for a beverage. Many thanks to Council for making this trip possible, and the children of Wagait Beach; who donated the money they had fundraised; for the seniors lunch.Meeting held every Tuesday from 10.00am to 12.00pm in the Community Centre. All welcome to attend.
